The first hack you need to know for cleaning your shower (and anywhere else, for that matter) is to follow the top-down approach – start at the top and work your way down.

It can be tempting to get straight down to the shower floor and scrub at the build up of mould and mildew in your tiles.

However, by starting at the top of the shower, you ensure that you won’t need to re-clean anything as grime and dirt makes its way down your shower screen and to the floor.

The best way to clean shower screens

While more hygienic than shower curtains, shower screens still go through a lot.

They have soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash splashed all over them every time someone has a shower. As a result it doesn’t take long for shower screens to start looking a little foggy as soap scum builds.

The real problem with a shower screen is that even after you scrub it down, it still looks streaky and unclean.

The solution? First you need to make the shower screen as clean as possible by wiping away all the soap and shampoo residue with a cleaning agent.

Next, mix vinegar and water together in a spray bottle. Spray the shower glass with the mix and wipe down with a paper towel. A paper towel is less likely to leave fibres and streaks behind, allowing you to achieve the perfect streak-free shower screen!

Bathroom cleaning hacks for your toilet

Let’s be honest, the only thing worse than a dirty toilet is having to clean it!

The key to keeping your toilet in its best condition is frequent, low-intensity cleaning (even when it doesn’t look dirty) rather than waiting until you’ve got visible signs of grime building up around the rim, resulting in a challenging and time-consuming clean.

We recommend inserting a dissolvable tablet or disc into your toilet bowl, that dissolves over time and freshens your toilet each time you flush. This ensures your toilet receives a quick chemical clean regularly.

This mistake a lot of people make when they use these kind of products, is that they don’t actually clean their toilet, thinking that the tablet will do all the dirty work.

Your toilet will still need a good scrub with a toilet brush and your favourite toilet cleaning liquid.

It’s important to remember that dissolvable disc and cubes only rinse off your toilet. It is imperative that you scrub away any invisible bacteria or germs that are building up inside your toilet bowl.
